Welcome to my April Kids Were Here blog post. In some ways, these images seem so ordinary, perhaps even boring.  But when I pause to really look at them, I see so much more. I see the way a child can turn a simple leaf into meaningful art.

I see something only a child could love.

I see a world, where not only do princesses rule, but "fixer-uppers" get the girl and love conquers all

I see simple and not so simple (there's seltzer, or "Mommy water" in there) needs.

And last, but not least, I see a glimpse of the future.
