Bringing your newborn home is a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with the deepest, fullest love you can feel, plus a sprinkle of exhaustion and overwhelm. Though these early days can feel like they are 35 hours long, newborns grow fast. Before you know it, their “newbornness” is gone, and a you’ve got a full-fledged baby on your hands. In this short time, your family settles into a new rhythm and your story changes. You’re on to the next chapter. In reality, you have about two weeks, perhaps a teeny bit more, to start telling her story from the very beginning.
Newborn Sessions
As a mom, I know how important these photos are. I also know you have a lot going on, and I want this to be easy for you. I’ve brought home four babies and I know the the last thing a new parent needs is another thing to plan or manage. My process is streamlined and simple, from our first phone call where we chat about your family and your dream photos, to when the baby arrives and we connect over logistics.
On the day of the session, I’ll come to your home at a time that works best for your family. We’ll spend 90 minutes to 2 hours together, and I’ll capture a combination of gorgeous, traditional portraits as well as some more casual, candid photographs of real moments. All the tiny details will be preserved. Newborn sessions are completely customizable and can include not only parents, but also siblings and grandparents.
