My Family's Beach Vacation Video, July 2019

Over the past few years, I’ve slowly been working on adding motion to my skillset. My latest “practice” is our family’s beach vacation video from our trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware last July. Over the course of the two weeks were were there, I made an effort to capture video with whatever camera I happened to have on me. Sometimes, I used my dslr. Other times, I used my iPhone or the GoPro (which is perfect for getting in the water!). I then pull the clips together to create a little moving memory of our time. It’s far from perfect as, on vacation, I’m a mom first. I definitely miss a lot of great shots and neglect to enough film b-roll or transition footage. Still, I love that I have these memories for our family to watch for years to come.

My hope is to begin offering “Family In Motion” sessions later on this year. Things are a little bit crazy right now, of course, but if all goes according to plan, I’ll be launching a promotional contest this summer.
